We had an opportunity to witness my daughter's Annual Day function at SPRJ Kanyashala, Ghatkopar.
It was amazing to see the level of confidence and coordinating in the program which has "Colourful India" theme. It not only entertained but educated both kids and their parents. Along with statewise folk dance, there were slides reflecting the places to see, great leaders born there, etc to add up the favour.
I saw a different spark in the kids as well as their teachers which I never perceived to be present. It was well planned, narrated and presented.
As a background, We decided to shift her to this Gujarati medium Girls ONLY school this June itself just to make it convenient for her to be Home Schooled most of the time. We were advised by many that we should NOT be sending her to such a mediocre SSC board school. She may fall in BAD company and may not be polished to handle the career ahead. It was an agony as Homeschooling in Mumbai is rare commodity.
But the perception today turned upside down when we compared it with Maitri's erstwhile ICSE so called "CULTURED" School. Let's not get into negatives anymore.
I think we need to be open to look beyond laid back approach of "costlier is better" mindset and take ownership to research before every leap.
We found this school much useful in terms of child development. School and it's trustees have keen interest in making the kids blossom like lotus from dirt. Here, we found the teachers working with purpose more than money.
Once again kudos to good work for the whole SPRJ team!!
